About us

The nursery is an outgrowth of a plant collection begun in the 1950's by John and Joyce Hoekstra. They maintained an extensive collection of perennials, ivies, and both hardy and tender succulents. In 2001 the ownership of the nursery passed to Donald Mylin,  a horticulturist with many years of experience in the nursery and greenhouse trade. We now maintain a large collection of Haworthia, Haworthiopsis, Gasteria and Tulista.

The nursery is located in the upper Willamette Valley in Portland, OR. Since 2009 we have been marketing plants exclusively online via our website. We ship retail orders the year round.
